How can I enable the RDS to run as service? |
|
|
Hi all,
I installed netmeeting 3.01 SR2 on a WinNT (SP6a) machine. It's great to share desktop by RDS. I would like to replace the
existing VNC with it.
However, it seems no way to enable to start as system service, do I?
Please help...., Thanks!!

Some disconnect here I think. RDS by default starts as a service.
Steps involved on NT:
1) Select Enable Desktop Sharing from the Tools menu ( I assume you already
have done this?). This is a one time requirement and should cause
installation of software and initiate a reboot of the machine ( this step
required only on NT)
2) Select Remote Desktop Sharing from the Tools menu, follow the wizard to
the end
3) Right click on the RDS icon created in the system tray, select Activate
RDS should now be running as a service and restart automatically on reboot.

I am not sure what you are asking.
Could you explain?
