BUG253
BUG253 : 410
BUG253 + 0474B24C 0444F588 04426C8E 04424A18 046681BE
BUG253 + 046674E4 04662100 0465F740 04BAC0B0 04BABBE0
BUG253 + 04BABAF6 04BA71A4 04BA2806

Any instructions on how to translate this? The NTP says a "utility
function" has been incorrectly called and that I should report this
text to the "operating company". I think I am the operating company,
and whatever utility function has been called, it was an automatic
process.

I appreciate any advice you could offer.

Well, here's how I was taught: Worry when there are so many bug
messages that it's hard to type over them.

What you have here is an error message that the developer of the
machine language thought might help some day. I agree it would be nice
to know what they had in mind, but if you got dial tone and the TTY is
not outputting them over and over, it's gonna be hard to get someone's
attention in the Nortel know-it-all department.

/// From the books:
BUG0253 Utility procedure called with invalid required data.
Parameters: global number
optional debugging parameters.
Action: Report the problem text to the operating company.
Severity: Minor. Critical to Monitor: No

I agree with GH. Most of the error messages aren't service affecting. If it
still makes phone calls, it's working!
