Is there any security risk if I leave my router powered on when I turn
off everything else every night?

No.

As always, I suggest blocking TCP and UDP ports 135 ~ 139 and 445 on *any* SOHO Router.

My router has been on for over 5 years now and I haven't had any problems.
My print server also stays on 24/7.

It depends whether it has firmware that is subject to exploits, or whether
you have admin enabled for WAN. But usually no risk.
