AT commands with Nokia mobile phones |
|
|
Hi,
Has anyone had any success using AT commands to communicate with Nokia
phones over a serial port?
I am interested in reading and sending text (SMS) messages from my pc
to my mobile and vice versa. I have found that you can read a specific
text message with the command +CMGR and the message number, but to do
this you need to know the message number, or index.
The only way I have found to discover how many messages you have and
what their indices are, is to use the CMGL command which lists
everything. Of course, once you have used this, there is no need to
use the CMGR command. Is there another command, like CMGR that lists
the number of messages and their indices, without listing the complete
body text?
Does the Nokia send any signal to the pc to say that it has finished
communicating? I have only been able to poll the phone; I would prefer
that the phone tells the pc when there is data to retrieve.
Thanks. |
