Shallow frames for 19" rack

Postby Tor Tveitane » Sat Aug 06, 2005 4:33 pm

Hi,

I have a few 19" patch panels for copper ethernet which I just need to fix
to a wall. I don't want a deep standard patch enclosure but rather a 4"
frame 2-4U high to fix my patch panels neatly to the wall.

Who sell such frames or shallow enclosures for 19" rack system?

Thanks for any tips on this issue

regards

Tor

Check places that sell rack hardware. You may be able to find some
extenders, which are normally used to mount equipment a few inches in front
of the rails. Then again, if you're mounting on a wall, what's wrong with
a couple of short strips of wood?

Homaco makes a series of wall-mount miniature racks and enclosures
to do exactly what you're describing.

You can find the Homaco line at Graybar Electric (branches all
over the U.S.)

Happy hunting.
