Netmeeting crashing on w2Kprof |

Hi everyone,
I am at my wits end. I am trying to use Netmeeting with w2k professional and
it keeps crashing. It will start ok but each time I try to clickon anything
in NM it says CONF.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program. Apparently Microsoft has a fix for this
but I can't seem to find it on their site. Can anyone help? It's drving me
crazy!

The most likely cause I can think of is a problem with sound card or video
capture drivers. Do you have the latest drivers for any devices on your
machine?
What service pack level are you at? SP4 has the latest NetMeeting for
Win2000 included.

I haven't heard of any specific fix for any problem like this-- where did
your information about this fix come from?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q267958 has
information on uninstalling and reinstalling NetMeeting on Win2000 (really
what it does is reinitialize the registry entries). It may not help -- but
afaik can't hurt. |

SP4 installs the latest NetMeeting -- no further action is required. |
