I'm testing out a new linux-based router at my home.
I can connect to it from work over SSH, VPN, HTTPS.
Once connected over VPN, all computers within that LAN are accessible.

Here's something I noticed when I wanted to grab a file off one of those computers remotely:
1) I can SSH into this remote machine but don't know how to copy files from there to my desktop here at work...
2) if I VNC into that remote machine, I can't seem to "See" my office network, is SSH or VPN then only one-way?
3) If VPN is merely one way, then that would explain why I couldn't connect to our office VPN (a different one) in my attempt to copy files

Can someone set me straight on how this works?

Thanks,
Paul
