CAMSYS COMMUNICATIONS, INC. AND OHIO ALLIANCE OF COMMUNITY CENTERS FOR
THE DEAF CREATE PROGRAM TO EASE DOCTOR-PATIENT COMMUNICATIONS IN OHIO
HOSPITALS.
Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 08:44 AM - CamSys News
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Worthingon, Ohio - May 24th, 2005

CamSys Communications Inc. announced today that it has been working
with the Ohio Alliance of Community Centers for the Deaf to create a
videoconferencing network that will allow patients to communicate with
physicians by means of a sign language interpreter over a
videoconferencing connection. The pilot program, which began in earlier
this year, started with the installation of videoconferencing systems
in a few key hospitals throughout Ohio.

"We hope that the creation of this service will provide physicians
with the ability to interact closely with the patient, allowing them to
swiftly and accurately diagnose the patient's ailments." says Ken
Moon, CamSys' Chief Executive Officer. "Our state has a large
hearing impaired population, and with continued success and hospital
cooperation, we hope to assist the Ohio Alliance of Community Centers
for the Deaf with the expansion this offering."

Each participating hospital uses products and services from
industry-leading video and telecommunications companies. CamSys worked
with these companies to build a tightly integrated solution, with the
end goal of a videoconferencing system that would be as simple as
changing the channel on a television. They believe that they met and
exceeded that goal.

Videoconferencing is used by CamSys' clients throughout the nation to
perform a variety of tasks. This has shown to drastically decrease
their travel time and business expenses, often recovering the cost of
implementing video systems in a matter of months.

"Videoconferencing, at its core, is about overcoming obstacles,"
commented Moon. "Many businesses already use our services to maintain
communications with their clients and remote offices. We took these
techniques and slightly adapted them to make videoconferencing work for
this specific telemedicine application.

"It was a natural fit."
