How to detect the tone signals by MODEM? |
|
|
Does anyone know how we can detect the numbers which the dialer person
presses on his telephone by our modem?
I have downloaded some TAPI commands. With these commands in a simple
program I can wait for a outside dial and then pick up the hand
set when there is a ringing, by modem. But what I realy need is that
what should I do to detect the numbers that the dialer person presses
on his telephone after my modem picks up the handset(virtually of
course).
This is needed when the programs shoud receive an access code or an
account number.
In addition to tone detection, if you help me to know the way that we
can play a WAV file(or any kind that is possible) to the dialer person
for guiding him by some voice messages it will be very well.
Thanks for your help

Translation: I've already illegally tapped into a telephone line that someone uses
to connect to a "bank by phone" system. How can I get their secret access code
so I can steal all the money from their accounts? |

my program do somthing for me in my own computer.
So at first my computer should know that who is calling and I should
have define a password to myself that han be detected by the modem.
That's what I'm looking for.

What you are looking for is a program that alows remote access. Have
a look at LapLink and pcAnywhere.

Hehe.
In my case, someone was using my phone line through my wireless phone to
connect to the Internet. When we realized of that the phone was immediately
disabled, but it would be very interesting to plug a modem in that phone,
and wait for the hacker to try to connect. The modem would have to provide
dial tone, take the number dialed and then start a typical modem connection,
so that I would be able to catch the username and password, and all the
traffic (then the PC would do NAT to give Internet access to the hacker).
I have an internal Data Fax Speakerphone. Can it be done with it? I will try
someday to send some sound to the Modem Line #0 audio device that appears. A
program would be required to generate a dial tone and recognize a dialed
number. Did someone attempt that in the past? |
