European ISDN phones in North America? Most likely they won't work,
unfortunately.
In most European countries EuroISDN (also known as DSS1) signalling is
used with ISDN connections. Unfortunately that one is not used in the
North America.
While many ISDN cards (to be installed inside your computer) have
setting for the signalling protocol, so far I have not seen ISDN
telephone sets with selectable protocols. All the ISDN telephone sets
I have seen here over here in Finland have been for EuroISDN only.
Bear in mind, too, that cordless phones operate on different frequency
bands and it is most likely illegal to use a DECT cordless phone in
the North America.
