ILS Server |
|
|
Hi,
We are using an ILS Server for our Netmeeting usage.
This server has been working well for 3 years. But we have recently problems
with it.
It happens that the server hangs and we can do nothing except rebooting it
manually. We have no error log. When this happens, we can ping the server but
the ILS service is not available. We don't know at all what the problem is.
Help appreciated. |

The logical thing to ask would be what has changed lately ....?

I haven't heard of any specific problem that would cause this symptom. This
ILS is on Win2000? Is the service still running? Can you connect to it on
tcp 1002 ( that is the default port) using the telnet methods outlined in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q171648 ? |

Well the problem is that nothing has changed.
No update for hardware, software, network. Usage is also quite alike.
The server is currently running with W2k SP2, we are thinking of upgrading
it to SP4 to see if this solve the problem..
