I am attempting to use jumbo frames with a Baystack 5510. The manual
and product literature both suggest that large MTU frames are
supported within the switch, yet there is no mention of how to enable
the support, or even that enabling is unnecessary. Device manager for
the ports to which are attached jumbo-frame enabled devices displays
"MTU: 1514". I am testing using a Windows XP client with an Intel HBA
(MTU max set to 9216) and an Extreme Summit 1i switch (MTU max set to
9216). The devices are on their own separate VLAN within the Baystack.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
