Installing an AOM for a 3905 ACD phone |
|
|
first time installing an add on module for a 39xx series phone.
Normally for the 2616's and the 2216's I just change AOM 0 to AOM 1,
but the 39xx series don't seem to have AOM as an option.
I know it's probably a simple solution, but being at Network Engineer
who had a phone system dumped in his lap, I only have a extremely
basic understanding of the system. |

Hi,
The Command from memory relates to whether the module is a key based module
or a display based module.
Key ones have i think 11 keys up each side of it with removable button
covers. The Display based has 9 keys up the right hand side a page button at
the bottom and the keys are labeled from within options in the 3905.
Memory serves me right change DBA ( display) or KBA (Key) from 0 to 1.
If you use OTM then it is easy.
Word of warning nortel label the keys from 32 onwards but 32 is the bottom
key on a display based on page 1 and bottom left on the key based.
Hope that helps

Anthony,
The prompt you are looking for is KBA (for the kind you have to put in
paper labels) or DBA (for the self-labeling).
You can do one or the other, but not both. It would be the same as w/
AOM:
KBA 1
-or-
DBA 1
To remove them, NUL all the keys, then do KBA (or DBA) 0.
Hope this helps,
Matt
