lost key codes |
|
|
I presently have been handed 21 meridian switches to maintain
Nobody seems to know where the keycodes were stored at time of installation.
These are a mixture of op 11c's op61's and one op81c
Is there any way of viewing the key codes on these installs?
i have pdt access and do my own patches, but that is my limit. the software
releases are from 23.35 to 25.40 no rlse 24.
I would like to obtain these codes in case a reinstall may be needed
any help would be appreciated |

go to load 143 and type ksho rec. That will give you a print out of your
keycodes. This will give you the option 11's. The big pbx's are a file on a
floppy. The file name is keycode.kcd. You should be able to find this in
your phone room somewhere or where ever you keep your software. If you have
the diploma type sheet they send, you can use the dka software disk that
comes with the software, install it on your pc and than type in the 25 or so
lines of text that show on the sheet and recreat the keycode file. The only
other way to get these keycodes is to visit nortel website and download
them. |

You're kidding, right? Why does everyone think that debug is necessary for
normal maintenance of systems. You "do" your own patches? Does that mean
that you have access to Maestro, and are writing your own from scratch? Or,
does it mean that you somehow have access to MPLR?
Anyway, to answer your question....
Log into PDT, and... no wait, that's wrong.
Log into the switch (on Option 11c's) LD 22. At the REQ prompt, type SLT.
There's your keycodes. Next, print your packages, as you'll need to know
what was added from the base package. You'll also need to know what was sold
to you.... general business, etc.
Next problem on Option 11's is that you'll need the correct version software
delivery card for each system's release. That doesn't come with the system.
Large switches, the keycode is available as a file on a disk with your
installation disks. You do not enter that by hand.
If you have mail, make sure you have the keycodes, and install tape for that
too.
