Hi,

I would appreciate some advice on two issues that have stumped me and
my phone vendor.

How can I get the BCM to send an email to the users blackberry when a
voice mail is left. We have both a CTE lic and Unified Messaging lic
for each user.

The second issue I am facing is how to lookup the Caller ID in the
Public folders of our exchange server. Ideally the product would
create a local cache of the public folder to minimize lookup times.

Thank you in advance for your time.

I can be emailed at ihaveemail2 at ya hoo.com

Sorry but the BCM doesnt' SEND email anywhere. It requires that the

user's client connect to the BCM and request any messages that may be in
the user's voicemail box. It looks like another message server (using
IMAP or MAPI) from the clients point of view. What you need is
something like SMS which pushes messages out to clients. The BCM does
not do this.

How about writing a script that checks the IMAP users mailbox at
intervals and then sends an email somewhere? In fact, how about
forwarding the email (with voicemail wav attachment) somewhere? A
clever one could write this and install it on the BCM itself..

Hi

Thanks for your response.

I look at the version of call pilot we re running. I was not able to
find an option for email on notirication. Could you give me more
information.

I could get a script that checks the IMAP but the products I found did
not link to the Active Directory. So if a user changes thier password
they would have to change it in the IMAP query script.

I could forward all messages to the Exchange server but I do not want
the Wave File in the Exchange Store ( Size issue ) just a
notification.

The company requires 100% up time so doing a Hack on the BCM to send
out the email does not sit well with me. That would be the last
option.

Still trying to come up with a clear solution... .. I wil post it once
I find it .

Thanks again.
